Happy Monday! I hope your weekend was fabulous and that you all enjoyed a lovely Mother's Day with your loved ones!

Anyhoo, without further ado, I am thrilled to share the card I chose from those submitted in the CDS Weekend Color Challenge!

I chose to feature the lovely Grace's creation today!  What a cool card!! There's so much detail and she used all of the colors in the challenge beautifully!  I am so impressed, especially because I personally though the colors were NOT the easiest to work with! lol.. Well Grace, you rocked them with style!! Thank you so much!!

I am completely in love with my mixer.

And clearly I am not going to be making cookies with this little mixer anytime soon, but boy do I love it!!

I decided I would go very bold with this one since it's just so fun!!  This totally hip and retro appliance is part of the Ageless Antiques set being released tomorrow by Clear Dollar Stamps and wait, because there is more - I decided I needed some new furniture too...

Is this a hoot or what? This is SO my dream "Mrs. Roper" sofa!!  I paper-pieced my flower cushions, and they really are funky huh?

This set is completely full of fun stamps that can literally be used for everything!!  Don't forget to check them out at the CDS store tomorrow, along with all the other wonderful goodies they have in store for you!

Charlie Peek!

This is Charlie Daisy and isn't he the cutest thing??

Charlie Daisy is brand spankin' new and you can scoop him up on Sunday along with the rest of the CDS March releases!!  I just love this little guy, and I guess this card is a bit girlie, but I don't get to do girlie too often, so I think this will be okay, just this once!

I finally got around to opening my new Copic AirCan, and boy does it show..I just love it on backgrounds! 

Charlie is colored using Copics, as are the butterflies.  This set is just too cute - there are lots of cute little elements to add to your scenery - you can see the full stamp set by visiting Lori's Blog, and also get a peek at all the other sets being relased on Sunday!

Don't you just love the end of the month?? lot's of enabling goning on, and I'm going to be showing off some more so check back soon!

hello songbirds!

Clearly I should be ashamed for taking SO long to post!  (Surely my 2 loyal readers will understand! ) but rather than go into a whole big boring story, let's just forget all our troubles for a few minutes while I share some cards I meant to post yesterday but unfortunately I had no access to my lifeline (aka my mac!!)

Isn't this delish?

I think so - I'm having an addiction to these colors - and what better addition to them than this beautiful new set from Clear Dollar Stamps!  This is called Songbird Silhouettes, and it is just so perfect for all your spring projects!!  The sentiments included are beautiful as well, and as always - so versatile!!

 

I also thought this little bird would be perfect for an "oriental" inspired card, and I am most proud of myself for having used the coolest thing I found laying around to stamp my background!!  (I know people have probably done it a million times, but please, let me hang on to my moment of glory! lol..)

Yummy right? Can you guess what I used? 

Canvas.  how cool is that? First I used craft ink to get in nice and inked up, and just for good measure I then sprayed it with my Ranger walnut ink.  SO cool (well to me anyway!!)  My CS did get a bit damp but I dried it with my embossing gun and all was well - not too shabby I think?  Now it wasn't a solid look as you can see - some spots look better than others, but I think that looks just fine - here's the final look:

 

I'm really loving these colors too!

Now I know that you're just itching to have these birds right?  Well, you can add these birdies to your collection on Sunday March 1 - and in just a little while I will be showing you more sneak peeks so check back soon!!

It's a sad truth that at some point or another we will find ourselves in the position of wanting to offer comfort to someone experiencing a rough patch, or even a painful goodbye. 

Today I am sharing with you a look at another new stamp set being released tomorrow (Feb. 1) by Clear Dollar Stamps.  This set is called "Words of Sympathy" and I have to say, not only is it elegant but the sentiments included in this set truly are beautiful.  I think many of us become "stampers" because we want to share something beautiful and happy with people we love, but I also think showing we care during the difficult moments is just as important, and this set makes it that much easier.

I think the color scheme is very appropriate for a number of occasions, but for this particular set I thought it gave it a very soothing, elegant look.

I actually love these colors together as well, and my pearls have just been put to use quite a bit lately!

cock-a-doodle-doo!!! (sorry couldn't resist!!)

Happy Friday!! I'm so excited to show you another Clear Dollar Stamps' sneak peek!!  This one is called Critter Barn and it is just SO stinkin' fun!!

When I first got this set, I thought it would be perfect for making little treat baskets, (filled with chocolate Cadbury eggs?? YUM) or even as place settings for Easter brunch with a cute little decorated egg!! I think this is a great project you can even do with your kids, (which is always a big plus), and your table will look just gaw-jus!

Isn't that fun?  very messy too - my personal favorite!  I used a ton of distress inks to make the sides and back of the basket look like old wood (silly me, I will add another picture later on so you can see what I'm yapping about), and I made a matching "label" and band for the egg!  The little sentiment by the way is also included in the set - so adorable right??!

I hope this gives you some fun ideas for your next family gathering or even kids' parties! This is truly a  fun set with endless possibilities!

Just Believe...

(This is like my 10th post today (just kiddin')  but be sure to scroll down so you don't miss a thing - I just had lots to share!!)

I can't tell you how much I was itching to finally be able to post this one!  This is another peek at one of the sets being released by Clear Dollar Stamps' on February 1, and I have to say it is one of my absolute favorites!!

This set is called Sweet Jesus and it is made up of the cutest bunch of stamps geared towards "candy" (who doesn't love chocolate right??) but I decided to use my set to make up this scrapbook page of my  "Sweet" little monkey!

How super fun is this?? I used lots of circle punches and a ton of stampin' dimensionals to "pop" all the elements, and I absolutely LOVED the way this turned out, especially since I got the idea to do this page as soon as I saw the set!  (don't you just love it when stuff just works!!??)
