Happy Wednesday honeymuffins!!
Brrr.. it's awful nippy around here these days!! Luckily, this weather is perfect for this week's fabulous new challenge from our My Favorite Things Wednesday Stamp Club!!
This week's challenge is to create your very own Winter Wonderland! I looved working on our theme this week - I really wanted to do something different and of course, very glittery!! I hope you're inspired to play along for a chance to win $15.00 in MFT big bucks to spend on some goodies!! Please upload your creation to SCS using keyword MFTWSC12082010 for a chance to win!!
Here is the card I made inspired by this week's challenge:
DO you love the new Ice Skating Flopsey?? He just arrived in my mailbox and I couldn't wait to ink him up!! I stamped up the coordinating sentiment onto my patterned paper panel, and added some satin ribbon and a vintage button. My "winter trees" were made using my Cricut, and I added some icicle and stardust stickles to them to give them a little sparkle! I colored Flopsey using Copic Markers, and then distressed everything using my Vintage Photo Distress Ink. Of course, I couldn't make a winter card and not use my very favorite Snowflake Die-Namics dies. I cut out my snowflakes using vellum CS and added a green Dew drop and a rhinestone to the center of each snowflake. I also embellished those up with some icicle stickles - you can never have too much sparkle right?? I finished up my card by adding some white gel-pen dots.. Isn't it just snowy and cute?? I love it!!
How fun is it to just stay nice and warm indoors and just stamp up some winter fun??!
I hope you join us this week, and remember to head over to Kim's Blog any time after 11:00AM EST to check out the fabu-creations of the rest of the MFT Challenge Team!
Thanks so much for for visiting today - I can't wait to see your very own Winter Wonderland!!
